FDM (Rapid Prototyping)
Our Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) Machine uses electronic 3-D files to create parts from ABS plastic.

Using this FDM technology, USM can build a detailed part using the customer's files or if a 3-D computer model does not exist, USM can model a part for the customer. The finished parts can be used as is when they come off the machine or USM can finish them in a variety of finishes including painting and chrome coating.

Hardware Prototypes
Hardware prototypes develop products. Prototype models confirm the applicability of innovative instruments and devices. Display prototypes are used to market new hardware, while teaching models may also be employed to train operators in its use. Prototypes can also be used by sales staff members to explain complex product operations to their clients.
